WHY DO I NEED TO HAVE PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE WHEN WE HAVE THE NHS?

The NHS is a fantastic service and private medical insurance is not designed to replace it. However, as you or someone you know may have experienced previously, the NHS waiting times can be extremely lengthy. Having private medical insurance allows you to be seen much faster, provides a quicker diagnosis and treatment, and allows you access to the best consultants and treatments available. Some treatments may be limited on the NHS, or not covered at all due to the financial implications.

HOW DO I MAKE SURE I’M NOT OVER-INSURED?

Yes! Our services are completely free to you whether you decide to proceed with a policy or not. Whether you are a new customer or we are handling your renewal, there is no obligation to proceed with our recommendation.

I HAVE LOTS OF PREVIOUS MEDICAL CONDITIONS, WILL THESE BE COVERED WITH A NEW POLICY?

  • This depends on whether those previous medical conditions are currently covered with your existing policy with another insurer. If so, we should be able to negotiate this to be transferred over to the new provider.

  • If you do not currently hold private medical insurance then typically previous medical conditions are excluded from cover. However, we may be able to negotiate the inclusion of depending on the condition, severity and length of time since diagnosis.
